De exemplu unii geocacheri vânează anumite tipuri de cache-uri sau vizează anumite cache-uri „provocare” (challenge cache) care te determină să cauți cache-uri într-o anumită ordine, de un anumit fel sau care conțin anumite cuvinte... Există o mulțime de provocări fiindcă autorii sunt foarte creativi :) De exemplu, recent am făcut o provocare împreună cu prietenul meu Kenneth (29kenneth - v-am vorbit despre el acum ceva timp) în care trebuia să găsim minim 25 mystery caches într-o singură zi. Ăsta era scopul acelei zile, scopul acelei ieșiri.

O altă metodă de a găsi motivație e să fii la curent cu newsletterul de la groundspeak fiindcă poți afla despre tot felul de evenimente sau zile importante care uneori te ajută să câștigi suveniruri. Vedeți voi, eu astfel am aflat faptul că pe 12 Octombrie e Ziua Internațională a EarthCache-ului și dacă loghezi unul în această zi primești un suvenir. Știu că nu am discutat despre suveniruri în articolul despre geocaching așa cum nu am discutat nici despre ce e ăla EarthCache iar acestea sunt două noțiuni importante pentru articolul de azi.

Un suvenir este nici mai mult nici mai puțin decât o imagine în statistici pe geocaching.com. Nu e ceva palpabil, nu e ceva ce pui la chei sau pe perete. Suvenirurile sunt doar pe profilul propriu de pe geocaching.com unde doar alți geocacheri le pot vedea și cu toate acestea ne dorim cât mai multe :D

Ok, aceste fiind spuse, hai să vorbim despre subiectul articolului de azi și anume excursia pe care am făcut-o în această zi aniversară. În momentul în care am citit anunțul în newsletter, am început să caut cele mai apropiate EarthCache-uri. Am găsit două la o distanță acceptabilă, dar am decis să îl păstrez pe cel mai apropiat pentru o altă ocazie. Nu se știe când voi mai avea nevoie de un earth cache dartimpul nu-mi va permite o excursie lungă. E bine să am unul de rezervă acolo :)

I found two in the vicinity but I decided to keep the closest for a different occasion. You never know when I might need one but I won't have time for a long trip.

Așadar am ales cache-ul din Korshavn sau Fyns Hoved sau nu știu cumsă denumesc acea bucată de pământ fiindcă, aparent, pe indicativul de oraș apare denumirea Korshavn, dar dacă dai un search pe google maps Korshavn e undeva pe altă insulă. Total ciudat, vă zic! În fine, am ales GC4Z4Q4

- la 10:16, după vizitarea primelor două cache-uri de pe listă, am ajuns la Munkebo Bakke. Acest deal era de mult pe lista mea de destinații și iată că în final aveam să-l vizitez. Am rezolvat multi-cache-ul de aici apoi am plecat să-l caut. Din păcate la locul cu pricina era ceva agitație așa că am ales să continui drumul și să caut recipientul la întoarcere. (at 10:16 AM, after visiting the first caches on the list, I arrived in Munkebo Bakke. This hill was on my „To visit” list for a long time, and now was the time to finally visit it”. I solved the multicache and went to search it. Unfortunately the place was unreachable due to some tree cutters working in the are so I just continued my road skipping the multi cache at this time.)

Și aici am început căutarea cache-urilor de pe listă: 5 tradiționale, un mystery cache, un multicache și bineînțeles, ținta acestei zile: EarthCache-ul, care de fapt s-a dovedit a fi un multi-cache EarthCache! Adică a trebuit să vizitez patru locații diferite pentru a rezolva toate întrebările.

Am terminat cache-urile din Korshavn aproape de ora 15:00 și am pornit spre casă. Drumul de întoarcere l-am făcut să fie prin Kerteminde fiindcă mai aveam încă două cache-uri pe care nu le găsisem data trecută. Aici am făcut o pauză, tot la acvariu, în căutare de puțin internet apoi am pornit spre etapa finală a multicache-ului de pe Munkebo Bakke.
I finished the caches in Korshavn at about 15:00 an I left for home. The road back was planned to go through Kerteminde because I still had two caches left from the last trip here. I also took a break near the aquarium in search of some WiFi before going to Munkebo again, to get the multicache I skipped in the morning.

De data asta nu mai era nimeni prin preajmă așa că am putut căuta liniștit... și am găsit-o! Cât timp am stat în Kerteminde primisem un mail de la prietenul meu geocacher Lars, căruia îi povestisem despre excursia asta. În acest mail mă invita să trec pe la el când trec prin Munkebo așa că, după ce am terminat cu multicache-ul, i-am făcut o scurtă vizită. iar pe la ora 18 eram acasă.

In this mail he invited me to drop by, on my way through Munkebo, so that I where I went after I finished with the multicache. At about 18:00 I was home, starting to log the caches :D

Am experimentat de data asta cu aplicația viewranger pentru că încerc să mă pregătesc pentru viitoarele excursii lungi. A fost puțin de muncă pregătitoare, ca să fac un track ce conține și cache-urile, dar navigarea e mult mai ușoară astfel și în plus, ai la final înregistrarea traseului parcurs. Să zicem că mi-a plăcut. Acum să vedem ce părere aveți voi despre rezultatul final, prezentat sub forma unui track cu fotografiile atașate.
This time I tried a new thing. I have used viewranger app trying to see how it works. I am experimenting with different things to get ready for the next big bike trip I will be making. I have to admit, I spent a while to prepare the track for this trip, to insert every cache as waypoint. but the navigation is allot easier and at the end you have a recorded track of your trip... On my.viewranger.com you can also make a track that includes the pictures (if they are geo-tagged). I hope you like it:
